2016 Black History Month will kick off with “We the 350: Stories of Racism, Poverty and Incarceration in Wisconsin” Sunday, Jan. 31 at the Play Circle Theater at the Memorial Union.
“We the 350” explores the ways that state structures rely on intersections between race and class, along with many other intersections, to maintain racially disparate arrest and incarceration rates in Wisconsin. It is written and directed by UW Alum T. Banks and Prof. Sara McKinnon. In collaboration with WUD Performing Arts Committee.
Tickets are now available. Pick-up location is the Memorial Union Ticket Box Office.
