The Wisconsin Union Directorate (WUD) Global Connections Committee will host its second-ever WUD World Wide, an exciting international festival celebrating the diverse cultures that make up the campus community, on Sunday, April 19, 1-6 p.m. at the UW-Madison Memorial Union.

The event will feature performances by cultural student groups, dining specials, cultural displays, and a variety of other activities. Attendees can expect performances by FASO’s Kumantayo, Saaz, Colombian Badgers, FASO Tinikling, Grupo Folklorico, Smith Step Squad, Madison Rueda, Fuego Dance Crew, Wisconsin Vira, and EESA’s Dance Team.

“This event is really representative of our mission as WUD Global Connections to share and celebrate the cultural backgrounds on campus,” said Anvika Annyapu, WUD Global Connections Committee director, in a press release. “It’s a great way to bring people together in a uniquely Union way.”

The Wisconsin Union Directorate Global Connections Committee strives to foster awareness of global issues and interests in various cultures around the world through interactive programs by bridging the gap between domestic and international members of the UW-Madison campus community.

Admission to WUD World Wide is free and open to the public, with no tickets required. For more information about the event, click here.
