The sister of 30-year-old Kub Herr says he was the victim of last night’s shooting on Northport drive, and that he was shot by someone he knew.
Juls Herr of Sun Prairie has set up an online fundraiser seeking $25,000 to help with funeral costs for her brother, who she says had no life insurance. She also says Kub Herr had two young children, and any money not spent on his funeral and burial will go to them.
“He was a devoted father, fiance, brother and son. 30 years on earth we would of never knew (sic) he would leave so sudden by such a senseless act,” Juls Herr wrote on the GoFundMe page. “Our father passed 5 years ago and our mother suffered a stroke which left her in a vegetable state.”
The Dane County Medical Examiner has not confirmed the victim’s identity.
Madison police reported early Monday that one person was killed and another severely injured in an apartment complex on Northport Drive.
