Dane Arts has announced that the 2023 Dane Arts Buy Local (DABL) 2023 Annual Art Market will be returning to the Farley Center in partnership to use the Land Art Exhibit, Earth Connections, located at 2299 Spring Rose Road in Verona. The Art Market will take place on Sept. 9, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
This is the sixth year that the Natural Path Sanctuary on the Farley Center land will be used for local artists’ installations, this year composed of only materials that can be safely decomposed back into the land. Installations will be on view from Aug. 15 to Oct. 31.
A guided tour of the exhibit will happen on the day of the market at 1 pm, and there will also be food carts and music by Cédric Baetche from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and Gaines & Wagoner from 2-5 p.m.
“The Dane Arts Buy Local (DABL) Art Market supports local artists by providing a platform to exhibit and sell their artwork,” said Dane County Executive Joe Parisi in a release. “We look forward to celebrating our community of artists with this upcoming event.”
Dane Arts has been supporting engagement within the local art economy and community since 2014 with a focus on sustaining the arts in Dane County, the Farley Center for Peace, Justice, and Sustainability is a fitting location for the Dane Arts Buy Local Art Market for 2023.
