The state of Wisconsin reported just under 4,100 new coronavirus tests on Monday, of which 405 were positive, for a positive test rate of about 9.9 percent. The seven-day average of new cases per day has fallen to 806.

The state of Wisconsin also reported four COVID deaths on Wednesday, increasing the total death toll to 6,166. Since March, an additional 190 people have tested positive for COVID but died of other causes. The seven-day average of reported deaths fell to 16.

The seven-day positive rate, which would be less subject day to day fluctuations in testing, continued its downward trajectory to 3.1 percent, its lowest rate since the state began reporting that number a few months ago.

The state also reported Thursday that 239,443 Wisconsin residents have completed the COVID-19 vaccination series. In all, almost 950,000 vaccine doses have been administered.

The estimated number of active cases — diagnosed in the past 30 days — fell to just over 10,000, about 1.9 percent of the 555,739 total cases confirmed in Wisconsin.
