Fitchburg City Council member Donald D. Dantzler Jr. announced Sunday that he will seek re-election to represent District 3 on the City council while also running for the Dane County Board of Supervisors in District 33.
Dantzler, who was first elected to the City Council in 2024, said he hopes to continue work on infrastructure investments, public safety initiatives and sustainable development in Fitchburg. He also cited parks, green spaces, local business support and equitable access to public services as ongoing priorities.
If elected to the County Board, Dantzler said he would focus on affordable housing, expanded mental health resources, and improved transportation connections across communities.
Dantzler said community input has guided his work and he plans to continue hosting forums and listening sessions throughout the campaign. He thanked residents for their support and said he looks forward to the opportunity to continue serving both Fitchburg and Dane County.
Former Fitchburg alder Randy Udell is the incumbent for County Board in District 33, and also represents the 47th district in the State Assembly.
