Madison schools will be closed tomorrow, Friday, January 23, due to forecasted extreme cold temperatures, the district announced Thursday morning.
It will be a “traditional” weather-related closure, not an “at home” learning day, the district announced. All after school activities, early childhood and 4K programming, MSCR programs and external MMSD facility rentals are canceled.
The National Weater Service has issued an extreme cold warning from midnight tonight until 1 pm Friday, with wind chill factor temperatures expected to dip as low as 42 degrees below zero. An extreme cold watch will remain in effect until Saturday morning.
