Ali Muldrow, the co-executive director of the Gay Straight Alliance for Safe Schools (GSAFE), handily defeated David Blaska to win Madison School Board’s Seat 4. Muldrow received 69.3 percent of the vote to Blaska’s 30.1 percent.

“This campaign was really about the opportunity to transform education and we’ve got that opportunity,” Muldrow told Madison365 at her victory party at Robinia Courtyard on Madison’s near east side. “What is important now is how we use that opportunity.”

Muldrow will replace outgoing School Board member James Howard, who announced in December that he would not seek re-election.
