Cambridge-based Amigo Construction has won the Wisconsin Leadership Business Impact Award in the small business category.
The second-generation company, based in a 60,000-square-foot facility in Cambridge, produces and installs siding for commercial buildings all over the midwest.
In 2019, the company was first runner up in the Marketplace Wisconsin Governors Conference on Diverse Business Development. In 2020, it received the Legacy Award from Marketplace Wisconsin.
Its upcoming projects in the Madison area include Judge Doyle Square, a new CUNA Mutual Building, the UW-Madison Natatorium and the Urban League of Greater Madison Business Hub.
President Wensy Melendez was named one of Wisconsin’s Most Influenial Latino Leaders earlier this week.
Finalists for the Business Impact Awards are nominated by members of the community and voted on by honorees on past Madison365 Most Influential lists.
Amigo Construction will be honored at an awards ceremony at the Wisconsin Leadership Summit on Tuesday, October 11.
