Centro Hispano's new building is scheduled to open in early 2024.

Centro Hispano of Dane County will host its annual Strategic Update Breakfast at its current headquarters at 810 W. Badger Road on Wednesday, April 26, 9 a.m.

A sold-out event, the Strategic Update Breakfast has been an annual tradition at Centro for a decade.

The event focuses on providing an update on the agency’s work in the community to Centro’s closest friends and supporters, an opportunity to provide input, engage in candid conversation and strategize towards the future.

“This agency is a driver for change. I am proud of all that we have accomplished together because Centro represents change that is grounded in community,” said Centro Executive Director Karen Menendez Coller in a press release.

This year’s annual Strategic Update Breakfast will also include an update from Centro’s board of directors and leadership as they work to reach their goal of raising $3.4 million to complete #CampaignCentro. Centro’s new headquarters will be built on the site at the corner of Cypress Way and Hughes Place in the heart of Madison’s south side and is scheduled to open in early 2024.

Centro Hispano was founded in 1983 by community volunteers to meet the emergent needs of Cuban refugees, and the agency now serves 7,000 individuals (3,000 families) a year with holistic multi-generational programming.
