The state of Wisconsin reported just over 5,200 new coronavirus tests on Sunday, of which 1,007 were positive, for a positive test rate of about 19.3 percent. The seven-day average of new cases per day has fallen to 1,349.

The state of Wisconsin also reported four COVID deaths on Sunday, and one previously reported death in Jackson County was removed from the data, so the total death toll rose by three to 5,896. Since March, an additional 190 people have tested positive for COVID but died of other causes. The seven-day average of reported deaths fell slightly to 29.3.

The seven-day positive rate for all people tested, which would be less subject day to day fluctuations in testing, increased slightly from 19.5 to 19.6 percent, while the positive rate for all tests slipped slightly from 5.3 to 5.2 percent, the lowest rate to date.

The state also reported Thursday that 101,219 Wisconsin residents have completed the COVID-19 vaccination series, about 2,465 more since yesterday. In all, 536,579 vaccine doses have been administered, more than 22,000 since yesterday.

The estimated number of active cases — diagnosed in the past 30 days — fell slightly to just over 19,160, about 3.35 percent of the 542,416 total cases confirmed in Wisconsin.
