Under the theme of “Creating a Blueprint for Change,” Madison Nonprofit Day will be one of the premier places for people to get professional development for nonprofits on Friday, Nov. 7, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at TruStage on Madison’s West Side.
“Creating a Blueprint for Change” will honor the legacy of founder Alnisa Algood while charting a bold, sustainable future for Madison’s nonprofit and social impact community, according to a press release from the Madison Nonprofit Day Planning Committee announcing the event.
“Bringing Madison Nonprofit Day back is about more than a single event — it’s about celebrating the people in the trenches who are doing the work to keep our community strong,” said Prenicia E. Clifton, organizer of Madison Nonprofit Day 2025. “This conference is both a recognition of their efforts and a chance to provide professional development, resources, and support for leaders and changemakers at every level who want to drive lasting impact.”
The 2025 program will begin with a keynote panel with some of Madison’s leading social impact officers with the goal of exploring how organizations can strengthen their social impact framework, ensure sustainability, and deliver lasting change.
Leaders on the panel will include Renee Moe, CEO, United Way of Dane County; Shiva Bidar, vice president of social impact and belonging & Chief Social Impact Officer of UW Health; Angela Russell, Chief Diversity Officer and president of TruStage; and Angela Davis, director of grant making for the Madison Community Foundation.
“Non-profits in Madison and the surrounding communities play a vital role in making our region a place where everyone can reach their fullest potential. We’re honored to host the 2025 Madison Non-Profit Day Summit at TruStage headquarters,” Russell said in a press release. TruStage is located at 5910 Mineral Point Rd. “Our hope is that this event fosters new connections, shared learning, and bold ideas that help build a more inclusive and thriving Madison for all.”
The Social Impact Officers Mixer, from 3-5 p.m., will conclude the day, providing a celebratory space to connect leaders across sectors.
