Dane County adds 34 coronavirus cases

Dane County confirmed 34 new coronavirus cases Thursday, which brings the County’s total to 4,334. As of this morning, the total number of recovered was still listed as 3,509.

Dane County’s death toll from COVID-19 remained at 37 this morning while total hospitalizations grew from 289 to 291 today. Currently, there are 28 people hospitalized in Dane County with 11 of those in the ICU.

The highest concentration of new cases are in those in their 20s with 14 new cases today. Those in their 30s grew today by nine while those in their 40s grew by seven. Those in their teens aged 10-19, and adults in their 50s, 70s and 80s all grew by one today.

The most updated data on positive test percentage for a day is for August 5, with the positive test percentage reported as .5 percent while August 4 is now at 2.6 percent. The positive percentage for August 3 has updated at 2 percent and August 2 at 3 percent. Madison365 expects that these numbers will adjust as more negative and positive tests are fully processed and attributed to the appropriate dates in the coming days.
