At the Dane County Board of Supervisors meeting tonight, the County Board approved the appointment of Jamie Kuhn to serve as interim county executive. Kuhn is the first Asian American woman to fill this role.

Kuhn was appointed by Board Chair Miles last week while he was serving in the acting county executive role due to the resignation of County Executive Joe Parisi.  Supervisor Chad Kemp (District 32), first vice chair served as County Board chair during this time.

“I believe County Executive Kuhn is the ideal person to lead Dane County over the coming months, her experience will be an asset to the residents of the county as well as to the more than 2,000 county employees that provide invaluable services to residents,” Miles said in a statement. “I also want to take this opportunity to thank Supervisor Kemp for his leadership during this transitionary time. I look forward to working with him throughout this Board term.”

Kuhn will serve as interim county executive until the November 2024 election, when residents of Dane County will elect a county executive.
