Dr. Nestor Rodriguez wins Community Choice Award for Small Business Exec of the Year

Dr. Nestor Rodriguez

Dr. Nestor Rodriguez has been chosen as the Small Business Executive of the Year for his work as founder and medical director of CarbonWorld Health, which, according to its website, is “the country’s first medically-supervised spa and fitness facility,” combining “fitness, health and beauty with cutting-edge science and impeccable service.”

Dr. Rodriguez is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician and the Medical Director/Co-Owner of CarbonWorld Health. Dr. Rodriguez is a unique blend of intellect, personality, hard work and perseverance. He emigrated from El Salvador to the inner city of South Central Los Angeles at the age of seven. Despite coming from a single-parent, Spanish-only-speaking home, Dr. Rodriguez successfully became the first person in his family to obtain a high school degree. He graduated from the prestigious Loyola High School in Los Angeles. He subsequently earned his undergraduate degree in the challenging field of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology at Yale University. After graduating with honors and multiple academic awards, Dr. Rodriguez followed his dream to study medicine.

The Wisconsin Leadership Community Choice Awards were voted on by members of the Wisconsin community.

Dr. Rodriguez will appear at the Wisconsin Leadership Summit on a panel titled “Purpose Driven: Servant Leadership in Community Work” on Monday. He will receive his award at ceremony Tuesday.
