The Wisconsin Badgers announced on Monday afternoon that former standout defensive back Troy Vincent has been selected to the College Football Hall of Fame as a Class of 2023 inductee.

Vincent was one of the most dominating players in the Big Ten during his time as a Badger. In 1991, he earned first-team All-America honors and was Big Ten Co-Defensive Player of the Year. He was also the runner-up for the Thorpe Award. Vincent was inducted into the UW Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008.

Vincent becomes the 12th Badgers player to be selected to the College Football Hall of Fame and the fifth player since 2010 including Coach Barry Alvarez (2010), Ron Dayne (2013), Tim Krumrie (2016), and Joe Thomas (2019).

Following his collegiate career as a Badger, the Trenton, N.J. native went on to have a 15-year NFL career, which included five Pro Bowl selections and three All-Pro honors.

Vincent currently serves as executive vice president of football operations with the NFL.
