A new, limited-edition baseball jersey will be available to pre-order in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month from Forward Madison FC through a collaboration with La Barra 608.
La Barra 608 is a supporter group of Forward Madison that was founded by Latinos to connect with fellow Latinos and others around their love for The Flock.
Twenty-five percent of the profits from the jersey will go to benefit the Amigos en Azul Southside Soccer Program. Amigos en Azul has been an initiative since 2003 that has looked to create cultural understanding, strengthen communication, and work together with the Madison Latino community as a piece of the City of Madison Police Department.
The Southside Soccer Program is a part of the work Amigos en Azul does to build bridges with Madison’s Latino community along with a free soccer tournament, a week-long youth academy, car safety clinics, and an annual fall trip with area youth to take in a Chicago Fire game.
Pre-orders can be made here until Oct. 15, both for shipping and for pickup at the 917 E Mifflin St. location, and jerseys will also be available at the October 14 home game at Breese Stevens Field. The jersey comes in adult sizes only.
