The life of a woman who was a true champion of the Allied Drive Neighborhood community will be celebrated in the coming days.
Sina Davis, a long-time community activist and organizer, devoted mother, and social justice advocate, passed away on Thursday, July 25. She piloted many community projects in the Allied Drive neighborhood including being a founder of the Allied Community Cooperative, serving on the board of the Allied Wellness Center, helping start a local chapter of Mothers in the Neighborhood, running the Welcomers Program, and being actively involved with the Allied NRT.
Services for Sina Davis will be held this Friday, Aug. 2 at Foster Funeral Home beginning with a visitation at 10 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. Foster Funeral Service is located at 2109 Luann Lane in Madison.
The Foundation for Black Women’s Wellness is also collecting gifts for a Memorial Fund for Sina’s immediate family. Donations can be made online here. Checks can be mailed to:
