The Indigenous Cannabis Industry Association (ICIA) will host a virtual Lunch & Learn webinar on Thursday, Sept. 17, focused on emerging cannabis and hemp markets and economic opportunities for Indigenous communities.
The webinar, titled “Connecting Indian Country to the Southeast, Caribbean & Americas,” will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m.and is free and open to the public.
The monthly Lunch & Learn series brings together Indigenous leaders, entrepreneurs, advocates and industry experts to discuss issues affecting the growing Indigenous cannabis and hemp industries, according to a press release from ICIA, and the Sept. 17 conversation will explore how Tribal Nations and Indigenous entrepreneurs can use hemp and cannabis to expand economic development while creating relationships beyond traditional state and regional markets.
Topics will include Tribal sovereignty and self-determination, emerging hemp and cannabis markets, agriculture and manufacturing, sustainable materials, Indigenous-led supply chains and potential business opportunities connecting Indian Country with the Southeast, Caribbean and broader Americas.
ICIA founder Rob Pero will join Robert Friedman, founder of Cannabis LAB (CLAB), for the discussion.
