Jesús Echevarría has joined LOVB Madison as an assistant coach, completing the team’s coaching staff alongside head coach Fernando Morales and assistant coach Annemarie Hickey.
Echevarría currently serves as an assistant coach for the Puerto Rican men’s national team, which won a silver medal at the 2026 Pan-American Volleyball Cup. He previously served as an assistant coach for the Dallas Pulse, helping lead the team to an MLV title.
LOVB Madison is a professional women’s indoor volleyball team based in Madison and a member of LOVB Pro.
Echevarría also spent several years at Youngstown State, where he was promoted to associate head coach in 2023. He helped guide the program to its best record in eight years and its first Horizon League tournament qualification in program history.
Before joining Youngstown State, Echevarría was a graduate assistant at the University of Evansville, working alongside head coach Fernando Morales and helping lead the program to its first postseason bid since joining the Missouri Valley Conference. His international coaching experience includes roles with the South Korean and Puerto Rican women’s national teams.
