Join Mayor Julia Arata-Fratta, elected officials, and city staff as the Juneteenth Flag is raised at Fitchburg City Hall to remind individuals of the importance of this significant day in June and to celebrate African American history and culture while continuing to promote diversity, equality, and a strong sense of community.
In addition to this event, all are invited to the Juneteenth celebration at the Fitchburg Senior Center on June 16, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. There will be the Fast N Fresh food cart, music, and dancing, and art featured by local artist Lilada Gee.
The City of Fitchburg offices will be closed on Monday, June 19, to observe this significant day.
