Hip Hop artist Michael Render, better known as Killer Mike, will speak on “Systemic Racism and Police Brutality” on Monday, April 24 at 7:30 pm in the Wisconsin Union theater.
Render, the son of a police officer, is most well-known for campaigning with then-Democratic presidential candidate, Bernie Sanders. As a Grammy-award winning artist and political commentator, Render was a featured speaker in MIT’s Hip Hop speaker series.
Tickets are required for the the event and can be picked up for free at the theater box office with a valid ID or reserved online with a service charge.
The event is sponsored by the WUD Distinguished Lecturer series and the Wisconsin Alumni Student Board.
