Singer and rapper Lizzo entertained a sold-out crowd at The Sylvee on Madison’s near east side last night, her latest stop on her fall North American “Cuz I Love You Too” tour. She ended up leaving Madison with a new little friend.
Before her show, Lizzo met with dogs from Underdog Pet Rescue of Wisconsin, an all-breed companion animal rescue based out of Dane County, where she officially adopted a tiny dog named “Poke,” according to a Facebook post by Sylvee.

Lizzo performed with Ari Lennox and DJ Sophia Eris last night. She was born in Detroit and moved to Minneapolis in 2011 where she quickly became a fixture in the hip-hop and R&B scene. Her debut album, Lizzobangers, was released in 2013.
