The state of Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported 4,280 coronavirus cases Sunday, considerably lower than the past four days, due at least in part to reporting just over 12,000 tests, also considerably lower.
The seven-day positive test rate continued its rise, edging up to 34.4, up from 34.1 yesterday, and the highest yet.
The total number of cases ever confirmed in Wisconsin is now 267,410, of which just over 58,000 — almost 22% — are considered active. That’s up by about 200 from Saturday.
The seven-day average of new cases per day rose to 5,8,52. The seven-day average of deaths slipped to 37.86.
Eleven deaths were reported in six counties, bringing the total death toll to 2,312. The deaths were reported in the following counties:
All counties’ new case counts are below. Milwaukee had the most with 705 cases.
