
The Madison Children’s Museum will honor the contributions of Black people in the Madison community with a celebration featuring Black artists, musicians, and leaders at a special Black Heritage Celebration tonight, 5-8 p.m.

Community members can enjoy fun activities honoring Black history and culture, musical workshops with Djam Vivie and the Phenomenal NeBo, traditional African drumming with Drum Power, a gallery of works by youth artist Mychal Mayo, delicious samples from Melly Mell’s Soul Food and Mai Lara’s Bouqcakes, themed art activities, and joyful games throughout the museum.
Free admission begins at 4 p.m., and activities continue from 5 to 8 p.m. The Madison Children’s Museum is located at 100 N. Hamilton Street in downtown Madison.
