Approximately 2,310 spring graduates earned 2,577 degrees and diplomas this spring as Madison College celebrated their achievements during the commencement ceremony on May 16 at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Madison.

The graduating class showcased a diverse mix of returning students, first-generation college students, international students, and military veterans, according to a press release from Madison College, and a significant number graduated from nursing assistants, university transfers, and EMT programs.

Madison College student speaker Annette Crowder, a human services and addiction studies program graduate, delivered an inspiring message to her fellow grads.

“Your success is not the same as the person next to you,” Crowder said. “Yours are carved, chiseled by the trembling hands of risk, honed by the steady grind of persistence, etched with the scars of struggle, or painted with the light strokes of luck. Every mark, every step, every misstep is a testament to the path only you could walk.”

Interim President Tim Casper urged 2025 spring grads to cultivate ‘the power of curiosity’ and build bonds with others. He encouraged graduates to “find something in common with others and build and strengthen relationships. It supports us in pursuing possibilities that improve our lives, the lives of family and neighbors, and the lives of those who will come after us.”
