InBusiness Magazine has named Madison365 Publisher and CEO Startup Executive of the Year, as chosen by members and leaders of the Madison area’s business community.
In an email announcement Thursday, InBusiness announced that Sanders joins Settlers Bank CEO Tom Spitz and President Dave Fink, Widen Enterprise CEO Matthew Gonnering, TASC CEO Dan Rashke, Information Technology Professionals CEO Paul Hager, RISE Wisconsin CFO Kate Perleberg, and retired Society of St. Vincent DePaul District Council of Madison CEO and executive director Ralph Middlecamp in being honored by Dane County’s leading business magazine.
“It’s very humbling to be included among this impressive group of business leaders and innovators,” Sanders said. “Each and every day our community validates the work my team and I have put in to diversify the local media, carry marginalized voices into the mainstream and expand our mission statewide. This honor from the business community is an important moment to let me know that our work is really making an impact.”
Sanders is also founder and CEO of Selfless Ambition, a nonprofit that aims to connect churches with neighborhood and school communities in order to more effectively meet community needs.
The Startup category is open to any business that has been operating for less than five years. Madison365 was founded in 2015 and Selfless Ambition in 2017.
Profiles of all Executive of the Year honorees will be featured in the February edition of InBusiness. The honorees will be celebrated at an event at Overture Center for the Arts on February 19.
