MEN #DefendingBlackGirlhood will take place Tuesday, June 4, 6 p.m. at Fountain of Life Church.
Rev. Dr. Alexander Gee and Harry Hawkins are standing with Lilada Gee in her life’s work in defending black girlhood. You are invited to join us on June 4th, to explore how you can help support our efforts.
Black girls are growing in incidents of school suspensions, violent outbursts and fights, incidents of suicide and sexual abuse. it is estimated that between 50-65% of Black girls will be sexually abused by the age of 18. The list above is the result of sexual trauma both present day and historic, that has gone unbelieved, undealt with, unprotected and unhealed.
Together we can make a difference that will help black girls live lives that are safe in their homes, places of faith and in their communities.
