The 12th Annual Independence Festival, MEXICANFEST 2016, will be celebrated Saturday, Sept. 10, 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. at the Mallards Stadium (Warner Park). The event will be conducted by COFEMEX-Festival Mexicano-Wisconsin Committee Inc. People of any gender, age, creed, origin, race, nationality and social status can join this festival in order to share their knowledge and happiness. This festival is enriched with joy and celebrations. Everyone can treasure this wonderful experience with friends and family.
The Mexican Independence festival is usually celebrated on the Saturday either on September 16th the Saturday prior to that date. The Festival Mexicano-Wisconsin Committee comprises members who selflessly and enthusiastically work for achieving the goals of this organization. The main goal of COFEMEX is to support the Latino students and community by way of scholarships and promoting Mexican and Latin American culture.
There will be five food stands with the best selection of Mexican and Latino Restaurants in the Area; 20+ Live Performances; 4 tracks of music genre (Faith, ROCK, Traditional and Pop) on two stages; kids activities, games, entertainment and bouncing houses; art crafts, flags, t-shirts, etc; Mexican Independence History Exhibition
