Forward Madison FC has signed defender Kerfalla Toure for the 2026 season, pending league and federation approval.
Toure, a 24-year-old from Dorval, Québec, is a 6-foot-4 defender who comes to Madison after a collegiate career that included time as a two-sport athlete. He grew up playing both soccer and hockey in Canada and initially pursued junior hockey before returning to soccer at the collegiate level.
Toure played two seasons at Elmira College in New York, appearing in 35 matches and logging 2,957 minutes. He earned EC Male Rookie of the Year honors and was named twice to the Empire 8 First Team All-Conference. In 2023, he helped Elmira win the Empire 8 Championship.
In 2024, Toure transferred to Florida Atlantic University and focused exclusively on soccer. Over two seasons with the Owls, he started 20 of 31 matches, played the full 90 minutes in 14 games, and recorded two goals and three assists. During his senior season in 2025, he helped FAU win its first American Conference Tournament championship and qualify for the program’s first NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Championship.
The 2026 season will mark Toure’s first professional contract. His signing adds depth to the Forward Madison back line ahead of the club’s eighth season in USL League One.
Forward Madison FC is scheduled to open the 2026 home season on May 16 against Detroit City FC at Breese Stevens Field as part of the Prinx Tires USL Cup.
