Monona Grove Schools Close, Effective Immediately

0

Monona Grove Schools are closing immediately, three days ahead of the day all schools statewide have been ordered closed, according to an email sent to families of students.

The email does not indicate that anyone associated with the schools has tested positive for the coronavirus.

The closure will continue through Sunday, April 5, though that date is subject to change.

Free “grab-and-go” lunch and breakfast will be provided for any student who needs it beginning Monday, March 16, though distribution details are still being worked out.

Any medications, personal items or school-issued devices like ipads and laptops can be picked up from schools on Monday, March 16, 3-7 pm or 7:30 am – 4:00 pm on Tuesday, March 17, or Wednesday, March 18.

The email says optional virtual learning opportunities will be available beginning March 23.

The district’s spring break was already scheduled for March 30 – April 3.

The email says Monona Grove families should expect further communications from their children’s teachers and district administrators. Additional information is available at https://www.mononagrove.org/welcome/coronavirus.cfm.
