Mystery of Black History Series will be held Saturday, March 19, 5-7 p.m., at the Urban League of Greater Madison, 2222 S Park St, Ste 200.

The series continues with a special viewing and conversation about Vel Phillips. Discover how Vel Phillips rose to prominence as one of Wisconsin’s great civil rights activists, achieving an impressive list of “firsts” as part of her legacy, including the first African American judge in Wisconsin and the first woman, and African American, in the nation elected to executive office in state government.
