Madison Police confirm one person was killed Sunday night after a shooting in an apartment complex on the 1700 block of Northport Drive.
Officers located two individuals down with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
One person was pronounced dead on the scene, and the other was transported to a local hospital with severe injuries.
Madison police said the public is not in danger.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
