Panafrica Music sessions will present Orquestra Salsoul, Madison’s premier Latin Soul Band for a night of Latin Jazz Rumba Soul on Saturday, Nov. 12, 6 p.m. at The Crossing Building, 1127 University Ave.

Panafrica Music Sessions is a series of monthly live music concerts planned by Project 1808 throughout the fall and winter that will feature music and musicians from Africa and the diaspora including the many genres born from African music, including music from Latin America and the Caribbean. Admission to all events will be free, but donations are welcome.

Project 1808 is a Madison-based 501(c)3 nonprofit established in 2011. All proceeds from concert series will go to Project 1808 to provide scholarships, tutoring, mentoring, community programs, and access to higher education with a University and college level classes the organization plans to start in the most isolated remote rural Kabala, Koinadugu Distrisct, Sierra Leone.
