Wisconsin’s positive test rate fell to 11 percent Tuesday — down from near or above 20 percent the past two days — as more than 12,200 tests yielded 1,348 positive results. Those results bring the total case count to 91,304, of which just over 10,500 are considered active.

Today is the 11th day of the past 12 that the positive test rate has been over 10 percent.

Wisconsin’s positive test rate for the past seven days is now 14.8 percent, and the 14-day rate is up to 13.87 percent. Today’s data brings the seven-day average of new cases to 1,261 and the 14-day average to 1,090.

Ten new fatalities were reported today — three each in Milwaukee and Rock Counties, and one each in Menominee, Racine, Sheboygan and Walworth Counties — bringing the total death toll to 1,220. It was Menomonee County’s first death.

Wisconsin has averaged 7.43 deaths per day over the past week and six per day over the past two weeks.

The highest local new case count came in Brown County, with 167 new cases and 15.28 percent positive tests.

Kenosha County: 16 new cases, 8.47 percent positive tests
Kewaunee County: 10 new cases, 12.05 percent positive tests
La Crosse County: 90 new cases, 67.16 percent positive tests
Langlade County: 11 new cases, 18.97 percent positive tests
Manitowoc County: 23 new cases, 8.81 percent positive tests
Marathon County: 13 new cases, 9.09 percent positive tests
Milwaukee County: 94 new cases, 5.06 percent positive tests
Monroe County: 11 new cases, 25 percent positive tests
Oconto County: 16 new cases, 18.18 percent positive tests
Outagamie County: 97 new cases, 12.33 percent positive tests
Ozaukee County: 19 new cases, 36.54 percent positive tests

Racine County: 38 new cases, 3.68 percent positive tests

Washington County: 43 new cases, 39.45 percent positive tests
Waukesha County: 39 new cases, 5.37 percent positive tests

Wood County: 11 new cases, 8.4 percent positive tests

Hospitalizations Monday rose to 343 hospitalized with COVID 19, two more than Monday and 46 more than a week ago. Of those, 95 were in ICUs, three fewer than Sunday.
