The state of Wisconsin confirmed 4,062 new coronavirus cases and 27 deaths on Wednesday, bringing the total death toll past 1,770.
For the second consecutive day, more than 17,800 tests were processed Saturday, but the positive test rate still rose to 24.6 percent, up from 22.7 Friday.
The total number of cases ever confirmed in Wisconsin is now 194,540, of which nearly 40,000 — about 21% — are considered active.
The seven-day average of new cases is now 4,050. The seven-day average of deaths is now 28.

Additionally, previous deaths reported in Clark and Vernon Counties were removed from the data, so the state’s total death toll rose by 25 to 1,770.
