Stephanie Bradley Wilson was honored with the ATHENA Award on Wednesday night, March 12, at Monona Terrace as The Business Forum held its largest fundraising event of the year.
The ATHENA Award Celebration honors both women and men who have achieved excellence in their profession or life’s work, devoted time and effort in their communities to improve the quality of life for others, and actively helped women realize their full leadership potential.
Stephanie Bradley Wilson is the director of health equity and violence prevention at Common Wealth Development where she oversees racial justice and health equity work, ranging from affordable housing, workforce development and community engagement.
“I encourage each of you to do your best each day to be a blessing to someone and to be kind and compassionate. Thank you for this honor,” Bradley Wilson said, accepting the award.
Prior to her current position at Common Wealth Development, Bradley Wilson was a member of the Madison Police Department for over 30 years holding several ranks from officer to lieutenant and has been a driving force in Madison’s community to help people overcome obstacles and realize their full potential.
The ATHENA Award Celebration is The Business Forum’s largest fundraising event and proceeds benefit its scholarship giving. Other 2019 ATHENA Award Celebration nominees included Jocelyn Harmon, Susan Lipp, Kim Sponem, Maggie Utterback and Tiffany Walker.
