Support Community Journalism: All Donations Now Matched!

0

It’s our privilege every day to elevate your voice in the community, across Wisconsin and across the entire midwest. We dedicate ourselves to keeping you informed about what’s going on in this community, highlighting community members doing great things, and holding institutions and elected officials accountable.

When we first started in 2015, we made the intentional decision to be your source for community news. We wanted to work not only with the community, but for the community, supported by and accountable to you, the community.

That means we answer to you — and we can keep going and growing with your support.

Right now is the best time to give us that support — thanks to the NewsMatch program, every dollar you donate is doubled!

NewsMatch is driven by the Institute for Nonprofit News and the News Revenue Hub, two organizations helping build more sustainable models for journalism in America. The campaign is supported by a diverse group of foundations including Democracy Fund, the Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation, the Gates Family Foundation (through the Colorado Media Project), the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, and the Wyncote Foundation.

For every dollar you give between now and December 31, up to $1,000 per individual donation, these foundations will give us a dollar, up to $25,000 total. (Only donations from individuals are matched!)

You give us $100, they give us another $100. You donate $50, and it becomes $100. You invest $20 in community journalism and we get $40. It’s really that simple.

If you’ve ever learned something about your community from Madison365 … if you’ve ever thought, “Why haven’t I seen this in the news before?” … if you’ve ever hit “share” on one of our stories … now is the time to invest in our mission!

Please make your donation now and tell your friends — we will continue to highlight and celebrate everything people of color are doing. We will not shy away from challenging issues. And we will continue to make sure your voice is heard!
