The Alzheimer’s Poetry Project will present a Poetry Party on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at the Central Library, Rooms 301 & 302, 201 W Mifflin St.
The event will feature former Madison Poet Laureate Fabu Carter and founder and executive director of the APP, New York Poet, Gary Glazner & Community Poets.
We will read original poetry, classic, well-loved poems and poems written by those living with dementia. A highlight of the event will be the creation of an original poem by the poets and the audience. This event is for people living with memory loss, their caregivers and the general public.
Free and open to the public. A light brunch will be served.
