Vera Court Neighborhood Center, Inc. is inviting the greater Madison community to reminisce and share their unforgettable prom experiences and memories as they prepare for the adult prom event, “Prom Encore: Golden Elegance and a Night of Stars,” on Saturday, April 13, 5:30-10 p.m. at the Sheraton Madison Hotel Ballroom.
Since 1994, Vera Court Neighborhood Center has supported the needs of residents in Madison in a variety of ways. With centers on the north and southeast sides of Madison, Vera Court Neighborhood Center, Inc. impacts over 7,000 individuals annually, according to their website, by providing a range of services, including youth, teen, adult, senior, nutrition security, and bilingual programs tailored to the needs of the underserved community.
As the non-profit gears up for Prom Encore, they’re reaching out to the community to share their most cherished prom stories.
“We believe that everyone has a prom story worth sharing,” said Richard Jones, executive director of Vera Court Neighborhood Center, Inc. “Prom Encore isn’t just about reliving the magic of prom night; it’s about celebrating the diversity of experiences that make up our community.
“Dust off those dancing shoes and join us for Prom Encore — the adult prom experience you never knew you needed,” Jones added.
Individuals are encouraged to submit their prom stories here. Selected stories will be featured on Vera Court Neighborhood Center, Inc.’s social media platforms.
“In addition to sharing stories, Prom Encore promises attendees an evening of golden elegance and starry delight, all in support of a meaningful cause,” Vera Court Neighborhood Center, Inc. said in a press release announcing the event. “Departing from traditional fundraising events, Vera Court Neighborhood Center, Inc. aims to inject joy and excitement into philanthropy, offering an unforgettable night of dancing and camaraderie.”
