Wisconsin football’s match-up with Notre Dame at historic Lambeau Field in Green Bay, originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026, has been shifted to Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026, the two schools announced on Wednesday.
As part of the 2026 Labor Day weekend slate of college football action, the matchup will take place before the NFL season starts and will be televised live by NBC. Notre Dame will make its Lambeau Field debut and serve as the home team.
Originally, the Badgers and the Fighting Irish were supposed to play each other on Oct. 3, 2020, but the game was rescheduled for 2026 after the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the 2020 football season. In 2021, Notre Dame beat Wisconsin 41-13 at Soldier Field in Chicago in the first game of the Shamrock Series, the neutral-site non-conference series between the two programs.
The Badgers last played at Lambeau Field in 2016, beating No. 5 LSU, 16-14.
