Wisconsin now has 3,788 confirmed cases of coronavirus infection and 179 people have died.

That’s in increase of 130 cases since Tuesday. Daily increases have been relatively consistent, not growing exponentially as has been the case in more hard-hit hotspots around the world.

Milwaukee County now has 1,937 cases and has lost 105 people. Dane County has 351 confirmed cases and 13 deaths.

Currently, 406 people with coronavirus infection are hospitalized — 26 fewer than on Tuesday. About 40 percent of those patients are in intensive care.

About 85 percent of those hospitalized have required help breathing from a mechanical ventilator.
