The Wisconsin Herd, in partnership with Goodwill NCW, will celebrate the NBA’s Season of Giving at Menominee Nation Arena on Friday, Dec. 28, at 7 p.m., when the Herd takes on the Long Island Nets.
The Herd will wear special holiday sweater-themed jerseys that will be auctioned off at WHHoliday.afrogs.org. Fans can bid on the jerseys now through Dec. 30 at 12 p.m. with all proceeds benefiting Goodwill NCW.
The Herd is asking anyone attending the game to show holiday spirit by wearing their most creative holiday sweater and make it the largest holiday sweater party in Wisconsin. Attendees are also encouraged to bring clothing items to the game for donation to Goodwill NCW. Individuals who donate will receive a voucher for a ticket special to a select Herd home game.
The holiday jersey drive is part of the NBA Cares Season of Giving. NBA and G League teams and players will host a variety of charitable events in communities across the country to brighten the holidays for thousands of children and families.
Goodwill NCW CEO Chris Hess was recently named to Madison365’s Black Power List for 2018.
