Wisconsin passes 100 coronavirus deaths, 2,800 cases

In Wisconsin, 2,803 people have tested positive for coronavirus infection and 104 have died, according to state and county data.

Of the 2,803 positive cases, at least 790 have been hospitalized. The state Department of Health Services says 1,389 people with coronavirus have not been hospitalized. Hospitalization information in unknown in nearly 600 additional cases.

DHS has now begun reporting data on race and ethnicity. Statewide, about 26 percent of people who test positive and 42 percent of people who died were Black. About nine percent of those who test positive and about three percent who have died are Latino.

Milwaukee County has 1,461 cases and 59 deaths. Dane County has 305 cases and 11 deaths.
