The Wisconsin Supreme Court has ruled against a lawsuit looking to disqualify more than 221,000 ballots in the state.
The conservative-controlled court heard oral arguments in the case Saturday, following a lower circuit court decision issued the day before.
On Friday, a Racine County judge affirmed the presidential recounts in Dane and Milwaukee counties, delivering another blow to lawsuit efforts from the Trump campaign in Wisconsin.
Trump was pushing to overturn Joe Biden’s narrow win in Wisconsin with both a state and federal lawsuit in the state. The Texas attorney general also filed a lawsuit in the U.S. Supreme Court against Wisconsin and other swing states. The court ruled not to take the case because justices did not believe the Texas AG had standing to bring the suit. Justices also noted they would not have disqualified the electors in the four swing states based on the merits in the lawsuit.
Biden won Wisconsin by nearly 21,000 votes.
Wisconsin’s Electoral College is scheduled to meet at noon on Monday to cast their ballots.
