The 6th Annual Charles Hamilton Houston Institute (CHHI) Awards Luncheon is back will be held Wednesday, Aug. 15, 11:30 a.m. at the Sheraton Hotel. CHHI will recognize individuals who have served the Madison community in many outstanding ways.

This year’s speaker is Mr. Kwame Salter, who led UW-Madison’s Afro Center as a young grad student and was a mayoral candidate for the City of Madison and was President of the MMSD Board of Education. He retired as Sr. Vice President, HR, for Kraft Foods Global and is currently an adjunct Professor in the School of Business at Concordia Univ. Chicago. A mentor, a thought leader, a civil rights activist: come and hear Kwame Salter.”
