Giannis Antetokounmpo, one of the most famous Milwaukee Bucks ever and the face of the franchise for more than a decade, has been traded to the Miami Heat. The trade was announced late Monday night, on the eve of the 2026 NBA Draft.
The Bucks and Heat have agreed to a trade that sends Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis to Miami in exchange for Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, Jaime Jacquez Jr., Kasparas Jakučionis, three first-round picks (including No. 13 overall in tonight’s draft) and a second-round pick.
Antetokounmpo, who has been named the league MVP twice, spent 13 seasons in Milwaukee and led the Bucks to their first NBA championship since 1971 when he won Finals MVP against the Phoenix Suns in 2021.
