African American History Challenge Bowl

The African American History Challenge Bowl will take place Saturday, April 2 at the Madison Metropolitan School District Doyle Administration Building, 545 W. Dayton Street.

This event is an educational African American history competition between teams of Madison middle school students in a quiz show format with the winning team awarded the coveted Michael McKinney trophy.

The general public is invited and encouraged to attend, watch and cheer the students during this exciting competition. Free to the public.

In addition, the winning team will receive monetary prizes and an expense paid trip to compete against other students at the 100 Black Men of America national conference, which will be held this year in Hollywood Florida.
Madison Middle School teams have won the national championship in 1996, 2008 and 2012.

100 Black Men of Madison, Inc. was established in 1994 as a nonprofit civic organization with the mission to make a positive difference in the lives of area youth through mentoring, education, health and wellness and economic development programs.
