Beyonce likes to keep fans and critics guessing. She crashed iTunes in 2013 with the sudden release of her self-titled album and last year dropped the mind-boggling Lemonade – complete with an hourlong film on HBO – with no warning.
And she’s done it again, announcing via Instagram that she and husband Jay Z are expecting not one but two new babies.
“We would like to share our love and happiness,” she wrote in the note accompanying a photo showing her growing baby bump. “We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. – The Carters”
The post went viral immediately, gathering nearly three million likes and 190,000 comments in just over an hour. Beyonce was the top trending topic on Twitter as well.
The power couple have one daughter already, five-year-old Blue Ivy.
