Wisconsin Badgers star sophomore Johnny Davis was named The Associated Press Player of The Year in the Big Ten Conference and first-team All-Big Ten by both the coaches and media.
Joining Davis on the all-conference first team are Iowa’s Keegan Murray, Purdue’s Jaden Ivey, Ohio State’s E.J. Liddell and Illinois’ Kofi Cockburn. Davis was a unanimous selection by the coaches however he was left off the first team by at least one media member.
UW Head Coach Greg Gard was named Big Ten Coach of the Year for the second time in the last three seasons. He is just the second coach in UW history to win the award and first since 2015, joining four-time winner Bo Ryan (2002, ’03, ’13 and ’15).
